Wiz Khalifa has outdone himself with this song. It literally gives me chills whenever I listen to it. And tears too.
"It's been a long day without you my friend.
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.
We've come a long way from where we began,
I'll tell you all about it when I see you again."
As soon as the song starts I see an image of Paul Walker in my head looking sideways with his hands on the stearing wheel. He will be sorely missed. Fast and Furious is just not the same without him. I still can't believe he's gone. More often than not we take life for granted and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say this - we didn't know him, but we all mourned him. We only know his name, we have seen his movies and that's all, but still we cared. You can't judge a person by his looks but we connected with Paul through his movies. We miss his smile and his startling blue eyes. Not all of us are his die-hard fans and probably Fast&Furious were the only movies of his we saw. It's unexplainable why our heart squeezes whenever we think about him and all those feelings come rushing back when you listen to this song.
Every single word means so much. It speaks of family and loyalty, things we don't regard anymore. It says "How can we not talk about family, when family's all we got." It speaks about real, deep, faithful, trusting friendship, the special bond of brotherhood. The song is sad, mourning but also hopeful. The friends will meet again. "See the bigger picture ", "bond will never get lost" and "hard work forever pays." It's inspirational. You can just picture Vin Diesel saying this to Paul. "Now I see you in a better place."
I think this song is perfect for real friends who need to talk to each other about everything, who are closer than family. Who are family.
After hundreds of senseless songs, finally one comes along that actually makes sense and connects to you. It strums those strings in your heart.
"Every road you take will always lead to home."
"See You Again"
